* Dave Meads made his Major League debut on August 13, 1987 with the Houston Astros. Years late, he was acquired by the San Diego Padres and joined the Wizards roster on 2004 before officially retiring. Though he appeared in 18 games with the Wizards that year and is very much a part of their history, I am not counting him on this list since he was a Wizard after his MLB debut.
