This Week on Talkin Sports: Christy Young

Tune in Saturday morning at 9:00 to Talkin’ Sports, as our guests will be Christy Young, Womens’ soccer coach at University of St. Francis, telling us about the 4th Annual Spring Fling soccer tournament taking place at USF Saturday which includes both Notre Dame and Michigan State’s women’s soccer teams. Proceeds benefit Camp Whatcha-Wanna-Do, a camp for children surviving cancer. Also included is a silent auction with several impressive items up for bid.

We’ll also talk with Ft. Wayne Mens Adult/Senior Baseball League President Dean Ehle about the upcoming baseball tryout for the 18+ and 35+ divisions of this local amateur baseball league taking place on Sunday.

We’ll be giving away a pair of tickets to the USF Cougars “Blue-White” Spring football game on Sunday April 19th, a $20 value, courtesy of SportsCenter in the Village at Coventry and we’ll name our PSI/One Eleven Design Athlete of the Week.

This Week on Talkin Sports – Derby Girls

Tune in to Talkin’ Sports Saturday morning at 9:00 as we’ll be hosting in-studio guests from the Fort Wayne Derby Girls. The Derby Girls take on the Nashville Rollergirls Saturday at 6 P.M. at Memorial Coliseum. Since their first season in 2006, the Derby Girls have given back to the Fort Wayne community by raising thousands of dollars for charitable organizations in and around the Fort Wayne area.

We’ll preview the IHSAA Boys State Basketball Championships taking place at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis and also give you scores and highlights from Friday’s games and matches involving local teams.

We’ll  name our PSI/One Eleven Design Athlete of the Week.

Beginning this Saturday February 7th, Talkin’ Sports will be heard exclusively on ESPN Radio 1380-AM at 9:00 AM Est. The format of the weekly show remains unchanged; with local guests, local topics and local opinion on Fort Wayne area sports.
