Former Wizards Delabar and Garcia Join Indy Leagues

Steve DelabarHaving been released by the Padres, a pair of former Wizards righty pitchers, Steve Delabar and Geivy Garcia, joined new clubs.

Delbar signed with the Brockton Rox of the Can-Am League. Delabar was in his second stint with the Wizards before his release earlier this season. On the season he was 2-5 with a 5.96 ERA. He struck out 48 over 68 innings pitched and appeared in 21 games.

Garcia singed with the Grand Prairie Airhogs of the American Association. He played with the Wizards in parts of the 2004 and 2005 seasons. He went 2-3 over 45 games with the Wizards, striking out 48 and walking 27 in 61. 1 innings pitched. The Airhogs are in their first year of existence and managed by former big leaguer, Pete Incavilia.
