Former Indy-Leaguer; Dubarry to Join Wizards, Solis to Eugene
Wayne, IN – Catcher B.J. Dubarry was promoted by the San Diego Padres to the Fort Wayne Wizards from their extended spring training camp in Peoria, Arizona and catcher Ali Solis was reassigned to the Eugene Emeralds of the Northwest League.
Dubarry was signed as a free agent by the Padres organization earlier this year after spending two different seasons in independent baseball in San Angelo of the Central League and Fort Worth of the American Association.
Solis appeared in 17 games for the Wizards, hitting .140 with a pair of doubles, two home runs and 11 runs batted in.
